Much like the hurdles in a race, muscular discomfort or pain
is a hurdle in our race to achieve our goals. Imagine the corporate out there
who return back to their residences, in pain and in severe discomfort resulting
from the day’s work load and stress. Often this discomfort is not healed right
away as the person hardly gets any time for rest and the subsequent healing.
This can put additional load on the muscles resulting in the recurring soreness
of the muscles. Add to it the fact that the pain is a constant reminder that
one is in pain and can give his/her 100% in the workplace.
As known, there are various types of medications for the
various types of pain. For acute pain there are specific medications. One such
pain medication designed for acute pain is Soma. It is a popular pain med and
has been reported to be effective in giving the users pain relief. Let us see
more about this pain med.
Overview
Soma is a pain medication designed for acute pain. Its
generic version is Carisoprodol, a centrally acting muscle relaxant. Although
some do not categorize Soma
as a true muscles relaxant, this might primarily be due to the fact that
Carisoprodol is kind of a blanket sedative that acts centrally rather than on
the pain inflicted specific region. However Soma (Carisoprodol) is a FDA
Approved drug that was granted approval in 2003.
Originally Carisoprodol
was developed as an anti-anxiety medication. Some people continue to use it as
such, although there have been no conclusive evidence proving this particular
use of Soma. As of the current date, Soma is primarily used as a pain
medication, with a small proportion of people using the medication for
recreation purposes. Often the overdose of the medication leads to a condition
known as ‘Soma Coma’.
